Review of Caché (2005) by Jordan V — 21 Jan 2009
Shocking, catches you from out of nowhere and leaves you reeling. The suspense and tension are more taught than a two-inch thick cable. Heneke carefully crafts the story, showing you nothing and keeping you guessing till thE VERY end.
The only thing that drag this film down are the excruciatingly long shots. Seriously, is anyone really that patient? there's no need to drag a shot out for well over eight or ten minutes just for the sake of art, and in the end Heneke leaves with more questions than answers.
