Review of Caché (2005) by Dale J — 21 Jul 2010
Haneke is a great director, and the suspense in this film is amazing. The ending is vague, and though I feel I understand what happened, some of the theories I've read about the conclusion are completely mind blowing . The acting was solid, the long slow shots with nothing happening where draining and added suspense.
I feel like this film was as much of a challenge to the viewer as Funny Games. It commented on the voyeuristic elements of cinema, and truly surprised me with its twists.
