Review of Caché (2005) by Dmitry S — 03 Feb 2011
A film so ridiculously mysterious, enigmatic, puzzling, and intriguing that it's.... RIDICULOUS. If not a world-class film critic, one could easily pass this off as being a boring lame thriller. But once analyzed on all dimensions (including dimensions most movie watchers dont even comprehend) this film is so mysteriously engaging, that it's.
.... well.. RIDICULOUS. At times, I feel as if the film is so puzzling that I can't physically comprehend it. The best thing about the film is it's ability to absolutely confound you without being crazy and weird like a Lynch film.
In it's simplicity, it is mind-bending and brilliant. If I met Michael Haneke, I would actually thank him for making this film. Also Bertrolt Brecht. But he's dead.
