Review of Cabin in the Sky (1943) by Audra A — 18 Nov 2007
I have just finished watching this movie; I have never heard of it before or most of the actors/actresses such as Ethel Waters. Everyone's acting is fantastic! The storyline is entertaining; it has comedy, drama, and life decision issues.
I don't really care for musicals but this one was very good. I like how this musical has a story to tell first then it has songs to enhance it. I really like dancing so when I had seen the actors/actresses dancing, it was fun to see.
Besides that, I feel the plot isn't just about having religion, I believe it deals with making life decisions that you feel is right for yourself. And to live your life in a positive way, behaving in the best way you can.
Overall, I really enjoy this movie; I may possibly buy it. Also I would recommend this movie to all ages. My favorite song in the movie is the one Ethel Waters sings about love.
