Review of Cabin Fever (2016) by Joe S — 10 Sep 2016
Going into this one, I was trying to figure out why they would remake a movie that is less than 15 years old, originally already an American movie and one of the better horror movies from the early 2000's. My answer after having watched this one is that the studio and Eli Roth himself wanted to cash in on the success of the original film.
Here are my thoughts on the film. What a waste of time with nothing really redeeming about it. It was shot using the original script. Almost a shot for shot remake. This one had slight changes and different camera work. This version took all of the funny spots from the original, I guess they were trying to make it more serious. The acting wasn't good at all in this version. The only thing that I think they pulled off right was the gore.
With all of that said, stay away from this one.
