Review of Cabin Fever (2003) by Timothy A — 16 Jun 2015
I tried to watch this movie without any expectations, and I was very pleasantly suprised! It's a really good horror movie! There are no monsters, or anything supernatural, and I, honestly, think that makes the movie more scary.
Just a surreal skin disease being spread out by water! There are some cliches, unfortunately. The group of kids is like in any other 'kids go camping' horror flick, and they're not that interesting as characters.
But, I really liked the set up for the disease and the foreshadowing was great. Eli Roth knows how to build a good horror atmosphere. The acting is overall good. The ending is quite silly, but it actually made me laugh a bit.
I was NOT expecting that kind of an ending! All in all, a very well made horror movie with an interesting story, and even though it's cliched and done before, it's worth seeing!
