Review of Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever (2009) by Ash P — 02 Jun 2010
I'm not sure how I felt about this sequel. The first one was alright, I wasn't desperatly searching for a fan club to join or anything but it had some good parts to it like when the girl was shaving her skin off in the bath tub.
What I liked about the first Cabin Fever was that it slowy showed the characters rotting away which was a lot more creepy then the sequel where it seems like the infection hits the person a lot more fast and then bam they are dead.
I think if you don't take this one too serious it can be enjoyable because there is a lot of humrous parts and a 70's feel to it. There was even a point where I actually thought I was watching a horror movie made in the 70's, which is not a bad ting at all.
I wasn't crazy about the highschool theme and I think think could have went in a better direction with it. I most likely would have turned the movie off half way through if it wasn't for the gore.
The gore is just ridiculous in this movie, you have people's skin falling off, throwing up blood everywhere, and people attacking each other. This was a good movie to pass the time, more of a one time watch kinda thing, probably won't go out of my way to see it again.
