Surprisingly not a bad direct to video sequel that Eli Roth had no involvement with. The movie comes on VERY strong with the gross out moments but the gore was pretty weak compared to the first one, the gore was basically reduced to alot of teens spitting or vomiting blood...eh.

The biggest surprise to this movie was that I really liked and related to the main character, the average nice high school kid. he and the girl he had a crush on, came off as very real and not stereotyped teens unlike his chubby sidekick friend. Also the speech he gave her about why the hell is she dating an asshole and not him, seriously made me jump up and say fuck yea! god I don't know how many times I've wanted to say something like that to a girl I liked.

Its the finale that lost me, there really just was no ending, probably setting up another sequel. Then the final final act that took place in a strip club was funny at first but good god it dragged on for too damn long! felt like it was starting another movie or something. I see why Ti West, the director, disowned this movie. In case you didn't know Lionsgate didn't approve of Ti's cut of the movie so they got the producers to recut the movie and change the ending, the ending really did seem like a bunch of producers just threw it together and reshot it. I'd really like to see a Ti West Director's Cut probably would of had a much stronger final act,.
