Review of Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever (2009) by Tim B — 02 Mar 2010
Wow. What a great movie for such low expectations. Eli Roth is one of my favorite directors and Cabin Fever is one of my favorite horror films, so I had skeptical that Cabin Fever 2 was going to be essentially a bastardized straight-to-dvd affair from a different director. On that front, the movie is a disappointment as it loosely follows the first film (the virus is very different this time around). Overall, there is less nudity, less gore (although there are some good scenes), and the humor is more on par wit a tame "Superbad" than the original, yet for what it is - a straight to dvd movie - it surpassed all of my expectations.
Bottom line: If you are a fan of the first then this is a must see.
