Review of Cabaret (1993) by Anne F — 12 Jul 2008
A multi award winning film that avoids all the trapfalls of your typical Hollywood musical - this has a dark and brooding feel with violence, sex and drama entwined with some well known songs. Liza Minneli puts in a confident performance in the leading role, winning an Oscar along the way.
This is an entertaining film that clearly inspired the big screen version of Chicago.
