The painstaking sluggish pace along with a disturbing lack of events drove me insane with boredom. By The Sea is the worst film in the careers of both Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. The misery in their onscreen marriage must have reflected their personal one as they acted their roles with efficiency and ended up actually divorcing soon after.
It's a shame Hollywood's favorite couple broke up and it's a crime this movie was made.
