Review of BuyBust (2018) by Roy Hector K — 22 Nov 2018

The Cinematography is pretty good, it makes the slums look almost glamorous. The camera work is excellent, contributing a lot to making the movie interesting.

Anne Curtis' acting was awesome, she was able to carry the film in the lead role, and there are enough thrills and twists to make the movie an interesting watch overall.

However, the biggest disappointment for me were the hand to hand combat action scenes, they looked pretty awful. They were slow and so obviously telegraphed you can see them coming from miles away.

I suspect that the hyper realistic cinematography contributed to that, but at any rate it had a big negative impact on the movie, especially when you compare it to "The Raid" from which the plot was obviously inspired from.
