One of the greatest buddy movies of all time. It is an interesting film because it is a Western that doesn't feel like a Western. It manages to combine comedy, action, and drama into one package that's format has been borrowed many times since (Lethal Weapon comes to mind).
The movie looks good and the writing & acting is strong.
