Review of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969) by Alex M — 31 Jan 2010
Pairing Newman and Redford proved never to be a bad idea, especially when portraying the greatest pair of outlaws in the wild west. Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid is a traditional western without cold and rugged seriousness, which is the all-to-often tone of westerns.
It's great to see a more lighthearted and fun approach to the genre without sacrificing the quality of acting and story. Packed with enough dynamite to blow a Union Pacific Flyer, there's never a dull moment with these two.
My favorite western of all time.
