Review of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969) by Danny P — 13 Jul 2010
This film is trying to be a comedy and to be honest I didn't find it funny. As a western film it is really good, both characters make a great pair and with a girl mixed in makes for a dynamic situation.
The film has been nicely shot, with some amazing scenery, and unlike a lot of westerns, this film looks colourful and not stuck in a desert landscape. The plot is fine but it's nothing special, it would have been nice to see some more stunts but then this is based on a true story so I'll let them off, the only thing I did think was a bit strange, was the final scene when there is a shoot out, the Sundance Kid manages to fire off 10's of shot's although his gun only holds 6 bullet's? Work that one out.
