Review of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969) by Amraj D — 14 Sep 2010
Newman and Redford are brilliant as Butch and the Kid, their relationship is a strong one and they only work well when together. The movie packs some great, fast scenes of escapes and action and plenty of comedic moments making a very light-hearted Western that is easily accessible to anyone watching and this is perhaps where the main problem with the movie arises, in that it remains unidimensional plot-wise for most of the movie and most other characters that could also potentially be interesting are sidelined for the two protagonists.
A delight to watch but far from other Westerns.
