Incredible opening with Redford at the gambling table, especially footage and narrative build-up (along with acting ofc). Further on, the film progresses with equal portions of artistic ambition and forceful storytelling.
In the mix a large dose of humour and existentialism are thrown. With the music and photography at experimental, professional and emotional dimensions, this picture is film magic.
