Review of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969) by Justin V — 15 Nov 2010

A beautifully filmed piece and cleverly written characters and story. The characters are likable and very human and the friendship between Butch and Sundance is clearly seen and they do grow together throughout the film.

The writing and dialogue is marvelous sheer gold and very well done. The acting is very good with the exception of a few minor characters. The cinematography is very beautiful and the movie's sepia scenes are very well done.

I felt that the montage scenes of the three traveling dragged a bit long but payed off once they finally arrived at their destination. I felt that the music seemed very odd and out of place, it works for the film but not for the genre I thought.

Overall, this is an excellent film and is very well done, I loved the characters and loved the movie.
