Review of But I'm a Cheerleader (2000) by Chris S — 10 Mar 2008
I love satires but lately, I have been seeing some awful satirical films such as Thank You For Smoking. However, this film is a good example of a satire that actually works. It criticizes the conversion therapy, and it even makes fun of the stereotypical depictions of homosexuals and the gender roles and norms in our society.
It is also good to see Dante Basco portraying a homosexual.
