Review of But I'm a Cheerleader (2000) by Sabina S — 01 Sep 2009
How did I miss seeing this in the ten years since it came out? A hilarious, campy, over-the-top movie about a group of teenagers sent to a camp meant to "cure" their homosexuality. The camp is a candy-colored monstrosity, and the teens themselves portray stereotypes so inflated that you can't do anything but laugh.
Kind of a lame love story accompanies the brightly colored attempts to "straighten" these kids, but overall it was an excellent and, above all, funny film.
