Review of Bus Stop (1956) by Jen H — 25 Jan 2007
The only reason I give this film two stars instead of one is because of Marilyn. She's gorgeous, convincing and cute. But the storyline kills me. The cowboy character is borderline feral child/psychopath and, in the end, terribly obnoxious.
A lot of the supporting cast seemed to try to be someone they're not (anyone catch the bus stop lady's terrible Mae West routine?). I just couldn't like this film, save for Marilyn.
