Joe Dante's usually reliable creative energy behind the camera is completely absent here, giving us a horror comedy that is neither scary nor funny. Even solid actors like Anton Yelchin and Alexandra Daddario are astoundingly unremarkable here; both sleepwalking through their respective performances.
The jokes are juvenile, the characters are annoying, the horror is non-existent; just an all around dud. Skip it.
