Review of Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee (2007) by Little Feather — 27 Apr 2008
I had read Dee Brown's book when I was young and was deeply moved by it. This movie was a slight disappointment because it does not catch the sadness of the book / the actual events in all. Nicely photographed, but a bit dull storyline, and even the massacre in Wounded Knee is not as touching as it should have been.
Adam Beach (Charles Eastman) and August Schellenberg (Sitting Bull) do a great job, though.
