Review of Burnt Offerings (1976) by Al M — 01 May 2009
Decent haunted house film with an exceptional cast. Instead of traditional haunting motifs, the house in Burnt Offerings slowly alters the personalities of its inhabitants making them manical and potentially murderous.
While the movie has a tendency to be slow, it punctuates this langurous tempo with moments of genuine creepiness, and a great ending makes it worthwhile.
