Review of Burnt (2015) by Tey Z — 05 Jan 2016
Another day, another underrated gem. This time, it is a nutritious and delicious serving of a film that peels through the glamorous veneer of a 2M-star restaurant, veraciously depicting the sacrifice, sweat, tears and even literal blood required for the craft (maybe vanity).
Make no mistake, Bradley Cooper runs the show, depicting the type of flawed, evil, unlikable yet sympathetic lead not seen since classic Paul Newman. It is a travesty he is not included in this year's Oscar talk.
