Review of Burnt (2015) by Mario F — 30 Jan 2016
Stale. Douche. Soggy. All more fitting titles for this ridiculous movie. It as if they hired a film crew from a True Religion ad, and a screenwriter who watch a couple episodes of Bravo's Top Chef and maybe some Gordon Ramsey Hell's Kitchen.
They give you one cool montage of the chefs shopping for meats and produce, all for Bradley Cooper to throw at a wall over one bad plate on the first night of service. Fitting. I should have done this the moment that happened as well.
Not to mention the disrespect for New Orleans' oyster chefs the film opened with. I'm sure the very talented cast did their best, but this movie deserves to be tossed in the dumpster.
