Review of Burnt (2015) by Per B — 04 Sep 2016
This movie is proof that an outstanding cast, good director and a potentially interesting plot isn't enough to win audiences over. With an extremely unlikable main character whose emotional moments where he "becomes a better person" still fail, this movie was doomed to fail. A story about a chef rising through the ranks and becoming the best in the world is bound to entertain some people... but not me. I don't know what it is that went wrong with this film. I just feel so disappointed in every aspect.
This is a hard skip people if you wanna watch a chef yell at people and serve delicious food without the shitty drama, watch Gordon Ramsey. But hey, at least the movie looks nice...
4/10 at best I'm being generous.
