Review of Burnt (2015) by Wayne M — 06 Oct 2016
Burnt is a good example of a film that is very much style and not much substance. This clunky film looks good and does all the right things but a predictable script and narrative doesn't lead to a satisfying conclusion.
Bradley Cooper is fine as the 'burnt' out super chef who is trying to piece his life back together in gaining that elusive third Michelin star, but the script is heavy handed and sometimes a little silly.
It's an agreeable way to pass an afternoon but you will probably forget it shortly after the sign posted ending.
