Review of Burnt (2015) by Mike M — 09 Nov 2015
I do not know why the critics have panned this movie so much. It really has some great energy. it showcases the lunacy, risk and ego mania of the hight end restaurant kitchen. That alone made the movie entertaining.
I got that Adam (Cooper) was a ego-maniacal chef genius, I did not see the point in making him a recovered drug addict who owed some Italian drug dealers money and wanted to beat him up story line. I also did not believe that Bradley Cooper had any idea of what to do in a kitchen. He is more about being Bradley Cooper than being his character. But if I looked like Bradley, I suppose that I would be the same way.
Sienna Miller, amazing jobw ith a supporting role. The show stealer, Uma Thurman's brief spot as a restaurant critic.
I liked it.
