Review of Burn After Reading (2008) by Christopher J — 25 Dec 2011
Nice to see the Coen Brothers in top comedic form after the terrible "Ladykillers." Take one of their masterpiece, "The Big Lebowski" replace the drugs with violence and paranoia and you have "Burn After Reading.
" Filled to capacity with hilarious characters and great actors. Brad Pitt as a vacuous fitness coach, John Malkovich as an alcoholic malcontent, George Clooney as a serial womanizer and Francis McDormand (married to one of the Coens) playing a "frumpy" fitness instructor obsessed with plastic surgery.
A great ensemble piece from two brothers who can bring both great comedies like "Raising Arizona" and great dramas like "No Country for Old Men" and "Baron Fink".
