Review of Burn After Reading (2008) by Rick Q — 02 Apr 2012
The coen brothers are masters at dark comedy, and "burn after reading" is no exception. both george clooney and brad pitt are fantastic in their roles, which they each play a different type of doofus with no clue how ridiculous they are.
but the show isn't completely stolen by them, as their are fine and hilarious performances by frances mcdormand, j.k. simmons, john malkovich, richard jenkins, and tilda swinton. in the long run, the events that take place in "burn after reading" are quite pointless.
but goddammit, if it isn't a blast watching it all happen.
