Review of Burn After Reading (2008) by Rupert B — 21 Jul 2014
It was kind of funny - I got a few good laughs out of it, but the plot was way too convoluted and it really didn't have any substance character-wise, I also disliked the fact that they treated death with such indifference - characters died left and right and nobody cared at all .
.. I understand the film was a comedy, but I don't think death is a topic that can be included in a comedy successfully - the acting I have 2 admit was a bit choppy, and I expected better from such good actors, but the film just felt really forced and random - the ending was also completely anti-climactic.
despite my almost entirely negative review, I thought the film over all was okay as a mindless comedy.
