Review of Burlesque (2009) by Crusader . — 22 Jun 2011
A very fun and entertaining movie which really opened my eyes to the great singing (and, evidently, acting) talent Christina Aguilera, who I am not a huge fan of otherwise.
The actors were perfectly cast and convincing in their roles. The story, music and choreography were excellent.
SPOILER ALERT: At the beginning, I noticed a PG-13 rating for "partial nudity," so I am looking for this so-called "partial nudity" throughout the film. It's nearly over and I'm wondering to myself, "What does MPAA define as 'partial nudity,' cuz the only thing close is some partially nude women in a mural." Ends up we get to see Eric Dane's (or a stand-in's) bare butt, which was well worth the wait, let me tell you! A few words to MPAA: His butt is worth at least an "R" rating, come on!
