Review of Buried (2010) by Alexander H — 27 Feb 2012
Suspension of disbelief is killed early when every single phone call the hero manages to make ends up either being taken by the answering machine, lost in a maze of bureaucracy, or treated as a prank/ramblings of a madman/chance to rekindle old feuds, and the problem is it's kind of necessary for this type of film to work.
Commendably, it's never boring but ultimately it comes off as (mildly) entertaining nonsense.
