Following films like phone booth that has one central location Buried takes it even further by having only one set where you see the entire film from. That set, is a coffin buried somewhere in Iraq. Throughout the film we see Ryan Reynolds (who is terrific playing a role outside of what he's down before) and occasionally one other character for maybe 15 secs.

The rest of the cast is present through phone conversations with Reynolds. The movies premise is simple if not unspectacular, Reynolds a truck driver in Iraq see's his crew get held up and gunpoint, the next thing he remembers, he's buried in a box under the ground.

With demands from his captor and low level's of oxygen as his threats Reynolds tries to piece together the clues using a phone and lighter he was buried with. The movie is at times, suspenseful, heartfelt and is packed with a thrilling edge of your seat finale that left me excited.

Buried does a lot with a small concept and claustrophobic idea and does it well.
