Review of Buried (2010) by Rohan L — 27 Nov 2013
A mesmerising panic attack movie, it was so tense and tightly packed that I felt like I was buried too as the feeling of claustrophobia was so effective, and watching it at night in darkness you feel like the whole room is a giant box.
It's incredible how such tension and frightening moments can be crammed into a tiny setting. Buried also showcases the true talent of Ryan Reynolds has, even the phone call conversations feel realistic, that phone is his lifeline throughout the movie.
His performance really kept the pace going as he frantically tried to find clues and escape this nightmare, this is thrilling stuff and a must see with a relentless and unforgiving ending that still to this day has me shocked and feeling for main protagonist Paul Conroy.
