Review of Buried (2010) by Josh G — 30 Mar 2012
The Movie starts out into a very stylish fantastic way and really reminds me of Vertigo & Alfred Hitchcock style. The movie differently reminds of Psycho, Rear Window, Strangers on a Train & Shadow of a Doubt which are all Alfred Hitchcock movie, the director most of been heavily influenced by his work in this very genius new take in suspense thriller.
The movie is heart racing, really brings in powerful emotions & a brilliant directions that stands out, with also the one man performance piece of Ryan Reynolds really did shine a little to his talent as an actor.
I like the music & sound score of the film (also Alfred Hitchcock type sound), that builds up the rush and panic in the movie. The storytelling is brilliant, as it makes me wonder if something like this actually happens? The Ending got me, I was like he going, no he's not, wait yes he is, or crap no he not and the sweet moment when he's gone make out alive, then FUCK HOLY SHIT NOOOOOO, that was the most shocking ending of this decade without any doubt, that was heart racing suspense of a movie.
Bravo to Ryan Reynolds One man Performances & Director Rodrigo Cortes intelligent filmmaking that would really make Alfred Hitchcock Proud to watch.
