Review of Burden of Dreams (1982) by Daniel S — 11 Jun 2010
Up there with hearts of darkness and lost in la mancha as best documentaries about doomed film productions, im always interested in seeing actual footage from film sets, be they troubled or not, and theres certainly no shortage here, you really gotta hand it to herzog to be able to finish any type of film given the circumstances, let alone one as good as fitzcarraldo, this film does seem to rush at the end, and it seemed there was still more to tell, regardless a fascinating watch.
