Review of Burden of Dreams (1982) by Blind P — 08 Aug 2007
As the post title suggests, it wouldn't have much value otherwise.
It is a rather dry documentary look at the trials and tribulations of getting said movie finished, and perhaps only of real interest to filmmakers, but I gave it a positive viewing because it made me a bit sheepish.
Sheepish because you look at just what hell some people go through to get their movie done, and then some wag like myself will come along and say something like, "I'd consider the whole package to be mildly entertaining." (from my Fitzcarraldo review).
Actors change, investors drop off, time drags, people die, and that's what it amounts to in my eyes. What a prick, eh?
However, I am me, and there can be no other way.
