From the glimpses Barker offers, the South African comedy scene - consisting of knock-off Chuckle Brothers, rabid misogynists and Jack Osbourne lookalikes performing observational routines about "The A-Team"'s theme tune - isn't the most promising milieu, and the leads' offstage badinage needs work, to say the least.
It's attractively shot in slacker-chic monochrome, but my enthusiasm was curbed very quickly.
