Review of Bumblebee (2018) by Trevor P — 27 Dec 2018
Absolutely the best Transformers movie yet. My Mother went with me to see this. She used to watch the old cartoon version with me as a child. This movie made her cry it was so good. Which is saying something.
I'm not adding on here, she's old school tough lady. She took me to see Die Hard as a kid and we both loved it. This lady is a tough broad. She doesn't cry over anything. This movie is well acted, well directed, and well executed.
One of the best origin stories yet. Explains a lot. Hailee Steinfeld was awesome sauce, and spot on on how she felt with her costar. Rather than giving in like a normal blockbuster and holding hands or whatever.
She said how she felt...too soon. It felt real, and that's original in this day and age. John Cena also feels real as a military guy who takes time to see the real picture. But Bumblebee steals the movie as the BadA$$ he is.
Great flick. You can take a young kid to, or your best good budy.
