If you've got a daughter who's still in grade school, and she's into Transformers, then OK, take her to see it (or at least, buy her a ticket).
Otherwise, steer clear. It's like an 80s TV version of E.T. -- super cheesy and schlocky, with the most standard script imaginable and a completely predictable plot. All of the Michael Bay movies are much better, even the second and the fifth movies. True Grit has shown us that Hailee Steinfeld is wasted in this picture.
