Review of Bully (2001) by Courtney W — 14 Nov 2007
This movie kinda reminds me of Heavenly Creatures: mentally unstable teens who are so stuck in their own fantasy world that they don't even realize how serious of a crime murder is. Only one person dies in both movies, but, to me, both movies portray the most horrifying murders I have ever witnessed in any horror movie.
At first, I didn't like the begining much because it had too much sex and drugs and portrayed teens the average, predictable stereotypical way, but, as I watched the movie more, I realized that the sin is what made the movie unique and tied the ending all together.
The teens immaturity and irresponsibility is abrutly interrupted by reality. In the end, they finally realize how foolish they were and society (the jurers) looks back at them with concerned, disappointed expressions.
Brilliant.
