Review of Bully (2001) by Ash K — 11 Aug 2008
This is a movie I stumbled across one lonely night on FilmFour. Aside from the questionale levels of teen nudity whic is't really crucial to the storyline, this movie is very impressive. It is based on the true account of Marty Puccio, and his friends' murder of their friend/nemesis Bobby Kent.
The late Brad Renfro is superb as the troubled Marty. However, ex-Dawson's Creek star Michael Pitt puts in the star performance as stoner Donny. A very watchable film, despite the difficult subject matter.
A must for fans of the film, Kids, also directed by Larry Clark. Or anyone remotely interested in good movies.
