Review of Bully (2001) by Kayla H — 30 Dec 2009
***1/2 (out of four).
While this is not to everyone's taste, I was fascinated by this film and how director Larry Clark was able to show the unfeeling hatred in the youth.
Nick Stahl is an unlikeable teen who treats everyone terrible, including beating up on his best friend every chance he gets. This true story follows the brutal beating death of him by his peers.
The script by David McKenna (he also wrote the the superior "American History X) is tight and insightful. This film stayed with me for some time.
