Review of Bullitt (1968) by Rj C — 30 May 2008
Classic McQueen. This is a very cool movie. It is a bit dated in parts but on the whole, holds up quite well. It is low-key storytelling and almost has a European movie feel. The sound track is jazzy and cool.
There are some nice action sequences with a car chase that set the standard for car chases and has been copied numerous times. The best part of the movie is, of course, watching McQueen who shows why he was, and still is, the "King of Cool.
