Review of Bullitt (1968) by Duncan D — 27 Jul 2008
My one critique of older movies is that they just have all this melodrama that doesnt to me add anything to the characters its just an extra thirty minutes of them buying groceries and then they go on a date and it just doesnt add as much as I think some people think it does but that being said it is fun to slip back into those dys and witness "action" movies that at least tried to have heart we gotta find a middle gorund but theres still soem great stuff in hear liek the car chase and and a well done opening sequence.
another thing that bugs me is why the hell did it take so long for them to get blood right I mean it looked like dryed bright red paint untill like the late seventies and its just distracting and looks awful youd think thats soemthing theyd nail pretty quickly I mean you just mix red and water until you get the right consistancy I mean seriousely people doo it in there backyard for halloween all the time why couldnt hollywood do it in in the sixties and early seventies.
but besides all my criticisms its a pretty good movie.
