Review of Bullitt (1968) by David S — 22 Sep 2008
This movie is pretty awesome, especially the famous car chase scene. The editing was really good, especially the opening credits which were fun just to watch. However I do have some negatives about this film in that since it is from 1968 the whole entire film's picture quality is not really that great.
I mean a grainy film never hurt anybody but to the point where it's hard to make out what's going on then we have a problem. Some of the plot and story was lost along the way because about halfway through I was still wondering what was going on and even after finishing the film I'm not entirely sure of what happened.
Another thing is that even though steve's character is supposed to be pensive and brooding he doesn't really talk all that much or have that much dialogue except giving directions, however that's also another thing I liked about his performance.
Some of it was good, some of it was not so good, but it's a classic and gets a thumbs up from me.
