Review of Bullitt (1968) by Robert S — 04 Dec 2008
Bullitt serves as an affirmation of one of my pet beliefs: the first of its kind isn't always the best. It's a fun movie, well paced, beautifully shot, but it doesn't have a whole lot of substance.
Of course, film owes a lot to it; it paved the way for movies like The French Connection and the Dirty Harry movies.
