Review of Bullitt (1968) by Brian M — 06 Nov 2010
A great cop thriller from 1968. McQueen is lieutenant Bullitt and is great in his role. All of the films nominations and wins are well deserved. The editing is fabulous as is the soundtrack; which should have been used more.
It's kinds of spy movie music meets Jethro Tull deal. Bullitt reminded me of and made me want to watch Dirty Harry. The car chase looks good for being 40+ years old. It featured a 68 Mustang and a 68 Charger (3 years letter a Challenger would be used in the film Vanishing Point) so you know it's going to be a good one.
My only problem is how the whole airport scene was written other then that worth another watch maybe even a buy!
